Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Can father that has been gone out of a childs life for 3 years still get visitation right? Father left state and did not tell anyone when child was 7 months old. Father has failed to pay support (15k), Father has failed to keep in touch with child, Father has drug issues, Father has shown that he is unable to take care of him self or have a stable life.Child has been raised by other man since child was 15 months, and child knows that man as Dad. Fianc� now would like to adopt child.

Only husbands can adopt, not boyfriends or fianc�es. Father can still request visitation, though the facts that you allege may keep him from obtaining unsupervised visits right away.
