Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

whos is it

my fiance left on 1/3/07 said he would be back within a month to get his belongings he has yet to come back to get them. I have bills that he left me with and I want to know if I have legal rights to sell them since he walked out on me and our daughter who is 5 months old now. I have to pay the bills he helped make and left on me.. can I sell the things to pay for the bills without legal consequinces?

Re: whos is it

Has paternity been established in court? Are these bills related to your pregnancy and/or the birth of the

baby? If so, you can obtain a court order requring him to pay these items.

Additionally, you can get an order for child support that may go back to your child's date of birth or the date that the fiance left.

Selling his items is a bit more complicated. Send him a letter and tell him if he does not pick the items up within 7 days, you will consider them to be gifts. Make sure the letter is certified.
