Can someone fight for paternity and child support after waiting for eight years to do so and if they can, can I fight for custody?

The term fight probably is inapproriate in this day and age of collaborative family law. There are circumstances where one can establish paternity rights and one of those rights would include custody. You can expect to pay substantial attorneys fees as the litigation is likely to take a long time.
