Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I filed for child support. At court they told me that my duaghters father does not have to pay child support due to his only income is social security disabiltiy payments. I think this is wrong because all it is telling me is that any person who is recieving these payments can get anyone pregnant and not have to take responsibility. Why does he not have to pay?

It could be that the court really said that since your daughter is entitled to benefits that there is no additional child support needed. Additionally, under the new guidelines his income may be so low that no payment is due. Be aware that the new guidelines even allow for negative child support-in other words sometimes there are situations where the custodial parent has to pay support to the non-custodial parent!
