Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I filed for a protective order against the step mother of my grandchildren. She followed me to my daughter's house the last time that they brought the children to me where I work. She has called my district manager to file a fictious complaint against me. She has called me at work and on my cell phone. This upsets me terribly! The judge has set a date for a hearing . Do I need to take a lawyer with me? This is the first time I have ever been through anything like this.
