Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
I just found out that I fathered a child almost two years ago--I was 16 years old and so was the mother. Her parents would not let her tell me about the baby and made her give it up for adoption. We have since turned 18 and she told me about the baby last week. I am confident that I am the father. I am very upset that I was not told and given a choice on any dicussion about my child.
What rights do I have?

Thank you for your question.
Based on the facts presented, you may be able to obtain custody of the baby and set aside the adoption. However, be prepared to pay a substantial amount of money in attorneys fees. This kind of case is not inexpensive.
