Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My friend is going through a divorce, and somehow her husband obtained a printout of her text messages even though he is not on her cell phone account or owner of her phone. Is this illegal? Are they admissible in court? This case is in Indiana. Preliminary proceedings begin Friday so I would really appreciate an answer ASAP. Thank you.
