Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I have a friend who has been legally separated since 1999, but didn't file for divorce until 2002. His wife is fighting for more joint assets than he is willing to fork over. She wants 65/35 with a percentage of future earnings. Their children are fully grown, he has paid for her house, cars, vacations, children's schooling, etc. for all these years.

Can he get a divorce granted now because of the time that has passed then continue on the division of assets for as long as she continues to be unreasonable?

He is willing to give 50/50 with no future earnings. She has no bills, and no kids at home.

Your friend must have counsel. That counsel will know all of the facts of the litigation and would be the best person to assist. Why dont you have your friend ask his counsel?
