I am not sure of your question since you have posted it in the Family Law Section. If you are talking about wage garnishment, that usually is issued by the court at the same time of the decree or provisional order. If payment is to be made to the state who then issues support to you, it can take a month or longer before you receive support as there are a number of administrative steps that have to be taken.
If you are garnishing accounts, the answer depends on how quickly the pro sup proceedings are started, how long it takes for the cl;erk or court to provide a court date, and how long it takes to obtain service on the garnishee defendant.
