Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My girl friend of 5 years moved out last week. We do have a 26 month old child. She is 33 years old and has not worked in quite some time. She is a student and the only money that she has is from student loans and exhausting her retirement fund.

She wants joint custody and have primary care of our child. I want primary custody. I've owned my home for 7 years now and have a professional job for the past 6 years.

I just feel that I am a lot more stable. Do you think I have a decent shot at getting primary custody?
