Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Is it possible that a girl from about 10 years ago claims that im the father of her child that i didnt even know about and i received a letter stating that since may of 2010 that is have to pay child support and i never knew anything about this child how can they collect child support if they dont have proof that im the father.
