Right to see grandchild
My daughter was killed two years ago in a gas explosion. My ex husband who is a convicted felon got custody of our grandson somehow.Now, he won't allow my grandson to call or visit. He doesn't return my calls either when i call to set up an overnite or weekend visit. You see, he is trying to build a wall between myself and my grandson. This man never even had much to do with our grandson untill this tragdey. Now he won't let me have the visitation I was supossed to have. Is there something I can do or someone I can talk to about this. I love my grandson very much and don't want to lose him too.

Yes, yes, yes! The grandparent visitation statutes were designed specifically for folks who are in your position.
In order to trigger the statutes, the grandparent has to be the parent of the deceased parent of the child. Then the OTHER parent has to be denying visitation.
What you do is petition the court for a hearing and ask the court to order visitation with the child.
It usually takes about six weeks from the date of filing to get your day in court, so the sooner you file, the sooner the visitation can start.
