Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Hi,

My grandfather passed away in 2005. He worked for Eli lilly and has a pension set up with them. Currently my mother cannot access it because she is too old by guidelines. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to access it. Here's why I ask: I am 21 and in school (heard that this meets guidelines). I lived with my grandfather for 6-8 years but he did not have legal guardianship as far as I know. He claimed me on his taxes as a dependent during this time. With these facts would it be possible to receive benefits and if so what is the first step to pursuing this.

Thank you

Get a copy of the pension plan and take it to a financial planner to see who has what rights in it. It does not sound like a pension situation, though.
