Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
My grandmother says she is going to get a restraining order on me. Her reasons for this are only that I have slammed my bedroom door and answered her when she provoked me about my mother. Is there any way I can contest the restraining order so I do not end up homeless?

Sure you can always contest it. Read the statute and see whether what happened qualifies as a grounds for an order.

However, you have no right as an adult to live in her house if you are not paying rent under a lease agreement, simply because the alternative is for you to move out and be homeless.
