Do grandparents have legal rights in the state of Indiana?

Yes. However, those rights are limited. Generally, if it is in the best interest of the child and there has been a history of meaningful contact Grandparents may request visitation in the case of a deceased parent,if the marriage is dissolved or on the paternal side where a child is born out of wedlock paternity has been established.
