Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

grandparent's rights

my husband is in jail for supposedly burglarizing my parents house. i want my parents to leave me alone but they insist on still showing up at my house whenever they feel like to see my children. they think they need to see them every single weekend. i want to be left alone right now. can my parents take me to court for grandparents rights? i just don't want my kids taken away from me. i am a good mother, and i am worried that they are going to try and take my kids away from me. can they do this or are they just trying to bully me into letting them see my children? i do not want them talking bad about my children's father the way they did my dad when i was a kid.

Re: grandparent's rights

Your children were not born out of wedlock with paternity established, you are not divorced and neither of you are deceased. Therefore, your parents have no legal rights to visit with your children. However, there are other concerns that go beyond the scope of this forum. I suggest that you hire a lawyer to send a cease and desist letter to your parents.
