Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Guardianship of Grandchild

17 year old grandchild lives with us. Her mother has allowed this. We want to have guardianship of her and mother has agreed to sign papers.

1) Mother is currently the custodial parent with sole custody. But is receiving child support from father (our son).

2) Child is currently on Hoosier Healthwise for insurance and mother is ordered in custody papers to provide insurance for her.

Questions:

1) Can we request in the Petition that child support from father be granted to us for the child.

2) Can we request in the Petition that Mother pay child support to us for the child?

3) Can we request in the Petition that the mother still provide insurance for the child through Hoosier Health?

4) Can we request insurance for the child with Hoosier Healthwise if the mother will not?

5) Does the father need to sign a consent form also?

Thanks.
