Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
I currently own a home with someone I no longer with. I moved out with the agreement that it would be refinanced or a release of liability would be done. He is unable to refinance or do the release as his credit is not good. I have since asked that we put the house up for sale but he is dragging his feet and ignoring me. From a leagal standpoint, what can I do? I have thought about seeking an attorney but what happens if he just ignores letters from them as he does me. Any info would be great. Thank you
Michelle

You can petition the court to sell the land, and your attorney can get paid from the sales proceeds.
