Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My ex husband is trying to get custody of our children because he doesnt want to pay child support. He even got the guardian ad liem involved and everything went well with that. I have having trouble trying to find a lawyer that is either pro bono or someone i can make payments to. How hard would it be to go in myself without a lawyer? Also what are my chances of my kids staying with me? He does have a lawyer.

There is no way of stating what your chances are. You are at a large disadvantage if he has an attorney and you do not. The court bases its decision on what is in the best interest of the children. You should do whatever you can to obtain funds. Instead of asking the lawyer to accept a payment plan, perhaps you can borrow money from members of your family or friends

and have a payment plan to pay them back.
