Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My ex husband and I divorced 10 years ago in Indiana. He was ordered to pay child support. 5 years later I requested that we modify child support because he had graduated and had a substantial pay increase. He agreed. He used the child support worksheets and we had a written agreement. My child support doubled but it was never filed with the court. After 4 years of paying the agreed amount he is now saying that we ail not continue to pay the agreed amount and has stopped making payments all together. Will the court honor out agreement or will they stick with the old figure that was calculated in our final decree? I am curious because I want to know how much he will be behind. Thanks.

Only the court can change support. Your "agreement " if not approved by the judge has no effect . His overpayments may be considered gifts though, and you need a lawyer to sort this mess out.
