Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
My ex husband is falsely accusing me of mentally and emotionally abusing our children. His attorney has filed a motion to suspend my parenting time based on this; we have a court date of October 1. I am confident that he will not be successful because it is not true, and a therapist that has worked with our family for the last 2 1/2 years has submitted a detailed report to the court that concluded that I am "an excellent example of healthy parenting." I have also requested (and the therapist has recommended) that psychological evaluations be done for me, my ex-husband, and our two children. When all is said and done, do I have any legal recourse for all of the anguish that he has caused me and my children?

Practically speaking, not really if he can establish that he had reasonable grounds for thinking that there was an issue, whether the grounds turn out to be false or not. That being said, you should ask the attorney who is assisting you as he or she would have the most knowledge of your case and be in a much better position than anyone answering your question in this forum. Good luck on October 1.
