Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
ex husband filed taxes on our daughter
My ex husband filed taxes on our daughter for the 2006 tax year. In our decree it states he cannot do that. He has not seen the child in over a year and he has not paid child support in two years. Now my tax return is being held up. Could you please tell me where I can look for help in making sure I receive my tax return?

You can do two things. You can file witht the IRS claiming the child and prove that the child is living with you. If the exemption was given to you in the decree, file for contempt.
