Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Me and my ex husband have joint physical custody. It will be my week next week Sunday to Sunday. I am going out of town on Friday evening for a week. The children can not go with me due to my ex denying them. Can they stay with my parents until it is his actual visitation time (sat and Sun). Or do I have to give him the opportunity to take them early. They want to go to their grandparents.

This area is a bit fuzzy. I am of the opinion that unless you live with your parents, he has the right to have them early. However, it seems to me that you are entitled to makeup time. Read the Parenting Time Guidelines. You should be able to use the makeup time provisions as leverage to negotiate the two days at your parents.
