Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

my husband and i were just married over the summer but have been together for the last 13 years. when i met my husband, i had a 6mth old son. his biological father has no relationship with my son and hasn't sought to do so in his life. he has within the last year or so began to pay between 10 and 20 dollars a week in support. my husband and i have 2 other children together besides my oldest son. my husband, myself and most importantly my son want to have my husband legally adopt my son and for him to take our last name. we live in indianapolis, indiana and the biological father lives in michigan. what steps do we need to take and how expensive is this process? my son hasn't seen his biological father in probabally 8-10 years; and prior to that it was more than sporatick.
