Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
My husband recently abandoned my 16 yr old daughter and me. We drew up a paper and both signed saying he would pay $50.00 a week child support and in return I would pay utilities and half the mortgage payments on the house I am still living in. He says this paper is not legal or binding. Is it or not?

You need to have an attorney look at the paper. That aside, you should seek either a dissolution of marriage or a legal separation so that a court has enforcement powers. You can obtain a wage order so that you do not have to worry about whether he feels like paying. If money ios an issue for you, contact your local prosecutors office.
