Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
My husband is a union carpenter, we are getting divorced & I am wondering if I am entitled to a portion of his retirement & annuity? He says I have no legal right to a portion of his annuity. If so why not?

Of course he says that. Why would you listen to the opposite side of a case tell you how much money you should get? If you are trying to handle your divorce without a lawyer, this is one good example of why not to do so.
Mr. Padive is absolutely correct. The specific answer depends on whether your husband is vested in these programs, and how much of these assets were earned while you were married.
