Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My husband and his ex wife were separated legally at the time she became pregnant and had another man's baby. They have obviously since divorced. As far as I know this other man's name is on the birth certificate. We live in Indiana and as I understand it the law says if you are married the kid is yours. Can he be claimed as the father? The biggest problem is that this kid has a lot of medical bills on Medicaid. Can they come after him for that...

The divorce decree should have taken care of excluding him as father of the child. If it did not, your husband should go back to his lawyer at the time. If he did not have a lawyer, he should go get one now to straighten this out
