Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My husband 9 yrs ago gave up his parental rights amd allowed his daughter to be adopted by the child's step father. We did not have the money to fight this. So, we felt we had no choice. Now that my son has found his sister well half sister. She wants a relationship with them. She asked me to contact her parents so she could see and have a relationship with my children. The child is 16 Her parents said no. With the children all wanting to know each other and really just texted and maybe a phone call here and there do the children, any of them have any right? Any sibling rights? Only the father signed his rights away. Do I or my children have a case I or my children could sue to seek visatation?

Interesting question and as far as I know the answer is no. Further, if you went to court at this point, by the time the case is heard and in all probablility appealed, she will be 18 and the problem will be solved at far less expense.

Answer is no, you can't do any of those things. When the young woman is 18, she can contact who she wishes. Until then, her parents are in charge.
