Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

In Indiana, my ex husband filed a petition to gain 50/50 physical custody of our daughter. The court appointed a legal guardian at a cost of 1,500 (retainer) to be split equally at a hearing that I was not notified of. My half of the retainer is nearly 50% of my monthly income. How do I appeal this?

You need to file a Verified Motion r if you were not notified of the hearing and in your motion you should set forth the fact that the $750 is half of your monthly income. You need to do this asap an there are time limits. Look at Trial Rules 59 and 60, available on the internet to determine the basis for your Verified Motion and make sure that you provide notice to the attorney for your ex husband. You should also look at the local rules for the county where the court is located-also available on the internet.
