insurance coverage for step children
my husband and i got married in dec. my husband can not afford medical insurance that was order in his divorce so i put it on the kids. all i asked is that my husband be present durning dr's visits. his ex wife refuses to let him be there, so i told her that i would not give up the ins cards. she is also asking for my ssn. do i have any legal right? i would be more than happy to give them to her as long as my husband is able to be involved with his childrens medical up bringing. every time i speak to her, she calls me very fowl names and hangs up on me, or my husband in front of the children

You personally have no rights. However, although the statute does not address a non-custodian being present during doctor's visits, he does have an absolute right to their medical records and information and the ex wife has a duty toi provide information to him unless the decree states something different.
I do not see a court rejecting a request to be present for medical visits, so your husband may want to petition the court to request that an order be entered allowing him to be present.'
