Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

intent to move 2200 miles

i would like to know the lawa regarding custodial parent moving a 3 yr child 2200 mile away. Parent relocating from Indiana to California. non-custodial parent is the primary care-taker and cares for the child daily while father works, also the father has been in contempt twice and jailed once for custodial interferance. obviously the move is intended to keep the child away from me. also parent's reason for moving is job. he has not got one yet in Ca but feels union carpentry work is better in Ca. his reason for moving is job and his new spouse has family there. what do you think the chances are a judge allows a move as i have objected to such and are there any Indiana case law judicial opinion specifically regards to changing custody because of relocation. thanks

Be sure to get your attorney hired for a hearing. It is unlikely that the judge would approve a change of residence of the child under these circumstances.
