Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Interest paid on home

I went through a divorce this year and purchased (re-financed) the home my husband and I had shared. Now he says he is entitled to some of the interest we paid when the house was owned jointly. He signed a quit-claim and only wanted a certain dollar amount for his equity which was outlined in our property settlement agreement. Is he entitled to anything or will I be able to claim it all myself?

Re: Interest paid on home

You need to speak with your divorce attorney as there may have been a provision in the decree that addresses this issue, or perhaps, the judge said something in court and the decree doesnt reflect what was said.
