Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Internet Findings
My husband and i have been married for only 6 months and he wants a divorce. I know IN is a no-fault state but can I get the reason to appear in the divorce decree?
I have also found out that he has been looking at kiddie porm sites on the internet. He deleted the history but didn't know enough to delete the cookies. The content of these sites are pretty sick. I have an 8 year old daughter and a friend has said that I might need to back up the computer and document these findings. They also suggested having some one of the court witness this. What would you suggest?

Re: Internet Findings
You are correct -- Indiana is a no-fault divorce state, so the fact that you have a VERY good reason to run screaming away from him won't matter as far as property settlement issues.
I assume that your daughter is not his daughter and that he has not adopted her. If that is the case, then he won't be able to get visitation with her. However, if she is his daughter or he has adopted her, then the kiddie porn issues will DEFINITELY come into play.
You CAN use the threat of turning him in to the authorities as a way to get him to be VERY cooperative in the dissolution process.
Or if you want to turn him in for the benefit of mankind in general, that's not a bad idea either.
The choices are yours.
Sounds like a tough situation. This isn't legal advice, but general advice: I would try to have a counselor find out if your daughter has been affected by any of his actions just for her own mental and emotional health also.
I hope this helps answer your questions. Let me know if you have others. OK?
