Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Involuntary fatherhood
If a woman purposely gets pregnant without telling the man that she is planning on doing it then lies to him about everything, ie, having insurance, getting turned down for medicaid, harrasses him with phone calls, text messages, and threats. Tells him she will take him to court for child support but will ruin his life and everyone in his life that he cares about if he ever tries to exercise his visitation rights. They had originally agreed to put the child up for adoption, she still occasionally dangles that in front of him. He is on a rollercoaster emotionally. Does not want anything to do with her. They are both college students. What can he do?

Re: Involuntary fatherhood
He should file for paternity, establish his parenting or custodial rights and if necessary get a restraining order against her.
