Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

If I have joint custody with my ex husband and won't to move out the state, do I have to contact the court? My daughter lives with me in Indiana. I got a new job in Connecticut. I don't won't any issues. I will fly back home to visit and my ex will be welcome to come see about our daughter.

There is a specific notice that must be filed with the court. Please see an attorney in your community to make sure it is done and done properly. It is then up to your ex to object.

There is a relocation statute that was passed about 2 years ago that has notice and other requirments. You should see an attorney locally as soon as you can.
