Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
I have joint legal custody of my 9 yr old daughter with my ex husband being primary. Under guidelines I am entitled to 4 hrs on Wednesdays which we have always done. My daughter is now in girl scouts which meets @ 3pm-5pm on Wednesdays. Since I am co-leader of her troop her dad is using the 2 hours of the meeting as part of my 4 hr visitation and is having me return her to him @ 7pm which is only 2 hrs of her and I visiting. Can he do this? Is this considered contempt? Thank you...Christina Smith PS..he signed her up for basketball and her games are on my weekends which also cuts into my time with her.

It would not be contempt, but that doesn't mean he is right. If you can't work it out with him, ask the judge to rule. Also, are her games only on YOUR weekends, or do they occupy both parents' weekends? Adjustment for both of you as activities multiply will be necessary.
I agree with Jay, this is not contempt and I also suggest that you and your ex read the Parenting TIme Guidelines, especially the COmmentary.
