Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
Laws and Requirements of a notarized document
I'm the process of going to court for custody of my daughter. I had signed a PRE-NOTARIZED hand typed paper by her mother in order to obtain possession of my daughter which I never received a copy. According to Nevada (where I picked up my daughter), a notary has to witness the person sign it, show identification to confirm who the person is, and sign a notary logbook otherwise it is null and void. What are the laws and requirements of notarized papers if they are pre-notarized by this state???
