Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I left my home because of domestic abuse. The police say I can't return if he doesn't want me to. Is that correct?

No, but why would you want to go back to an abusive home if the abuser does not want you there? That makes so little sense that it makes me think you are really asking a different question, so maybe a rewrite and a repost would help you.
