Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

legal guardianship or power of attorney? My son is 19 yrs old and has autism and is not mentally capable of making decisions on his own. Do I need to seek legal guardianship of him or power of attorney over his affairs? I can not afford an attorney so which method is best? Thank you
