The most important thing in INdiana is that a Legal Separation is only good for one year. Otherwise, other than the fact that you are still legally married and therefore, can not remarry it is simnilar to a divorce in that, child custody, support, maintenance, the division of property and the responsibility for the payment of debts are dealt with.
