Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I Live in Indiana and was with my partner for 30 years he abandoned ne and our properties and family 2 years ago. He now lives with a new family on property in another town we own. Although most of the properties are in his name I am the only one with proof of employment. He has threatened to come back to our town and sell it from under me. Do I have leagal abandonment rights to retain the properties and things he abanoned from our relationship.

Notwithstanding the abandonmentm you have legal rights unrelated to the abandonment issues. You mention family, if there are minor children, there is child support. Regarding the properties, you may be able to assert a common law lien and/or constructive trust on the property. Also, if you have a cohabitation agreement you can sue to enforce the agreement. Please visit my blog for a discussion of constructive trusts and cohabitation. Good luck.
