Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I live in Michigan. I am going through a divorce that should end by the end of this year (in the state of Indiana). I'm currently enrolling for my year 2011 medical insurance through my employer. Do I still have to cover my soon-to-be ex-wife and "her" child even though they could get medical insurance through her employer? And even though her child is covered through the child's father?

You always have tyo do what a court orders you to do. Absent such orders, it is typically a good idea to make sure the spouse has coverage until the divorce is final. Your attitude about your step-child is personal preference.

You still may have some financial responsibility under certain circumstances for your spouse. Enroll her until a court says you do not have to do so.
