Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
I am living with my daughter and son-in-law at their invitation. He and my daughter had marital problems for a while, they are now trying to reconcile and the financial matters that were a problem originally have receded but, as a result he wants me to move out now. I told him that it was very expensive for me to move from California to Fort Wayne to begin with and that it would take time for me to move out. Since, I have purchased a little home in Florida due to close the first or second week of April. He is acting very aggressive towards me and wants me to be out on the first of April. On the first, I will probably be in Florida, trying to do the final steps for the purchase and then move furniture that I have had in storage in Florida for a year into the house and get the property fenced and services started. Then I have to be back to Fort Wayne to move the items that I brought to their home, I told my son-in-law that I would be out by the end of April for sure. He is acting very aggressive and implies that he is going to do something if I do not move out. What can he do? And what can I do to stop this and be able to leave in peace?

If you do not have a lease, he can take steps to evict you, or it will escalate into a physical confrontation. Your best option it to move out now, since it is his home, and find a short-term solution until you are ready to head to Florida.
