Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Lump sum payment on medical bills

How long can the custodial parent hold onto the medical bills before requesting a payment? Can they request payment when the bill is over a year old and they have never mentioned it before?

If the decree or subsequent modifications are silent, there is no set law. If this is a concern of yours, you should obtain an order requiring the custodial parent to submit them to you within 10 - 15 days since there is usually interest that accrues after 30.
