Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Marital Assets

I live in Indiana. I'm in my first marriage of 10 years (no children) but I'm my husband's second spouse and he has four children with his former wife. I want to buy a new home but I want to know if his former wife and children would have any rights over my home in the event of his death (even if we put the home in my name only). Also, would his children have any rights over anything my husband and I have acquired since we got married?

Re: Marital Assets

If the house is in your name only, they have no rights. You best bet regarding personal property is to have a will drafted that leaves everything to you. There can be no questions under those circumstances.
