Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My married 18 year old daughter has decided to sue me for back child support. Mother & I never married, there was no paternity test and no court ordered child support. The mother took the child and left me when she was 4 years old. Should I be concerned?

Support is enforceable by the mother, unless she has assigned her rights to the daughter. There is no "back support" as such. If you have been sued, you need to hire an attorney to defend you, regardless.
