Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

We have been married for 1 year and a half. We got married in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico and I signed a document that said basically what's his is his and whats mine is mine, but it was not a pre-nup. He wants to get divorced with out any lawyers and is willing to give me 10,000 dollars and a 20,000 dollar vehicle he just bought me a month ago. He is a business owner and currently has about 200,000 dollars in the bank. We have a home that is not in my name and has about 70,000 dollars equity in it and also a lake property with no house on it. My question is should I take my 20,000 dollar vehicle and 10,000 dollars cash and get it over with or would I be screwing myself out of a better settlement in court.

You need to complete a financial disclosure form that you can find at www.lakecountykids.org and then bring that form and the document that you signed and meet with an attorney. Your question cannot be properly answered otherwise. Good luck.
