Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana
I have been married for about 5 years, with him for 7.5. We have two kids 5 and almost 4. Recently bought a house and took in my terminally ill father, agreeing with him to take over raising 13 year old sister. We both work to pay for the house we bought last year. Our incomes are close, he happens to make more because he travels and I do not. Throughout our entire relationship, he has been verbally abusive. It was not so bad at first, but in the past year, it seems to be out of control. Not only does he yell and put me down for various things, he feels it necessary to try to have say in how my father does things...I am miserable, he claims he is miserable, I keep telling him to leave, he then tells me to leave. I respond with the fact that I cannot move 3 kids, and a sick father as easy as he can leave. He tells me to just leave. I cannot leave without everyone else. All the kids try to stay away from him when he is mad. My dad just keeps his mouth shut, and I try my best to keep quiet and away from him. I not only have my two little kids, but a 13 teenage girl that has gone through way too much(did I mention we lost our mom in less than a year ago) I am afraid that if i get the law involved, it will make matters worse. He has been very treatening and I am not looking forward to trying to proceed with a divorce. I am afraid of him using the kids against me and I am afraid of loosing the house and ahving to move everyone. What are my chances of keeping all the kids and the house so through a nasty nasty divorce?

Pretty good, but you need to talk to an attorney in your community about the whole situation.
