Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

modify out of state support

My ex lives in OK, support established in IN where I and our two duaghters live, he has support for three prior children in SD. Two of the three prior chidlren in SD have turned 18, not in college, not living at home and in the decree should be emanicipted which would allow him to pay more support for his two daughter in IN (in which he is over $50,000 in the arrears). Can I ''force'' a modification of SD support by filing something in IN?

Re: modify out of state support

You can file a modification of support with the court and state your reasons why you think the support should be modified. You can also request that his tax returns be seized to help pay for the back support as well as put liens on vehicles, etc.
