Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My mom had paid for a car but she was still with her ex husband when he had it titles he owed back child support and they placed a lien on the title she had paid every dime on the car they recently got a divorce and now she cant get the title because of te lein is their anyway she can show she has paid for the car and e has not to get to keep the car, he thinks e should get it as the title is in his name, can she make him reimburse the cost or keep the car till he pays her what she put in to it?

What does the decree say? What does your mother's attorney in the divorce say about it? Whatever the court said in the decree is what governs, not who paid for what when while they were married.
